The Kenmore Cricket Club is affiliated with the Metropolitan South West District Cricket Association – also known as Metro South West (MSW). Kenmore junior cricket teams play against other local cricket clubs in age group competitions organised and administered by MSW.
Each year, MSW selects representative teams to participate in State Championship and State Development competitions for under 12 through to under 16 age groups. These carnivals are organised by Queensland Junior Cricket, in association with Queensland Cricket.
Kenmore cricket players are eligible to be selected in MSW representative teams and attend these carnivals. However, in order to be considered for selection in a MSW representative team, Kenmore Cricket players must be registered with our club – that is, have a current MyCricket number. For more information about MSW representative teams, including nomination forms and selection policy, you may visit the MSW website.
Please note: All players are required to complete a nomination form each year. Players attending trials for the first time, and players who attended previously and were not selected, must have their nomination form signed by either their Kenmore Cricket age group coordinator or the club President. Without this authority players will be ineligible to trial.
Representative carnivals for the 2015-16 season are:
|State Championship team||14-18 Dec 2015||Cairns|
|Development team 1||4-8 Jan 2016||Ian Healy Cup, Brisbane|

Please note: Any player who is selected to representative MSW one year will automatically receive an invitation to attend the trials the following season. Players attending trials are not permitted to wear any form of representative clothing. Club colours or plain whites are to be worn. Players are to bring their full cricket kit along with sunscreen, hat and water bottle.
From time-to-time additional trials are required. Should this occur players will be advised by their relevant MSW coach and manager.
Training, costs for the carnival, kit allocation and travel requirements
Once selected, a player will be advised by their MSW coach or manager when and where training and trial matches will take place, the cost to participate in a carnival, the travel requirements and how to collect their kit, and other such administrative matters.
